The Renaissance Neighborhood Association is once again having our Halloween decorating contest. The rules have changed a little this year, so please read carefully.
The deadline to nominate a house is October 15. To nominate a house, please send an email to renaissance.neighbors@gmail.com with “Halloween decorating” in the subject line and the address of the house in the body of the message.
The difference this year is that anyone can nominate any house – your own house or your neighbor’s house or just a house you admire as you drive by it as long as:
a) the house is in the RNA neighborhood boundaries (11th to 15th, Lewis to Harvard) and
b) it is not Mr. Partridge’s house, just west of Columbia on 14th Place. Mr. Partridge is our official RNA King of Halloween AND King of Christmas and he no longer enters the decorating contests.
Judging will take place between October 16 and October 19. A list of addresses of the nominated houses will be on Facebook and NextDoor so that all residents can view and vote on the Resident’s Choice winner. Details on how to vote for this will be included with the list of addresses.
Winners will be announced at the ChiliFest on October 20. Prizes are yard signs and bragging rights.
Renaissance Neighborhood Association (RNA) is a group of residents who volunteer their time to promote a united community by organizing events and by sharing information that affects our neighborhood. RNA is not a Homeowners Association ( HOA)!
